Just a few of my favourite sections from earlier this month 🙂
I finally poked my head outside for more than an hour a few weeks back and headed up to Graffiti Alley, located right off of Spadina/Queen Street West.
Toronto is supposed to have some great murals and sections over the city where graffiti is embraces, which I am excited to see. This place is probably the most well known and draws the most tourists and locals alike.
I went earlier in the day and found I had entire sections all to myself, so I suggest doing the same. This gives you time to walk up along both sides including all the side streets without being in the way of the next person trying to snap their next Tinder profile pic 😉 You may find the odd car driving down, but otherwise enjoy whats around you. Not many places in Canada offer the same setting. Here are some of my faves:
The Toons

Or something more weird like…
Fish, Basil. Fish…

I do it for ze animals

Then there’s some more *interesting ones like…
And the winner IS

And after you walk the short block and a half you can hop over to North of Brooklyn Pizzeria for the bessssst pizza sauce.
I’m a sucker for street art – love that it’s popping up in more cities now without getting painted over :’)

It’s pretty accepted here in certain areas, for sure! Would love to see it in the city where I am from as well. But this will do 😉

I think it’s slowly becoming more acceptable! Definitely with actual art, rather than ‘tags’ ahha. Maybe you can kick it off in your own city 😉
